I think its worth noting that this is one of the few legitimately judged events our school hosts.
I mean really, if this was being judged by, shall we say "the old crowd" , then I could've called the winner based purely on their opening statements. We really are a horrendously biased group of people. The only reason people like the girl who one (got nothing on the name) had a chance is the outside influences, something I'm glad to see.
I also liked the somewhat more carefree attitude, decorum was expected but a bit of acting out here and there wasn't squelched with a clenched fist like in other scenarios, its a healthier direction to move in I think. Frankly the suppression of expression is the death of the imagination and in time, the mind.
Good company really does improve an otherwise mind crushingly dull show though (no offense meant to the amount of work put into this though, I'm just a guy)
More thoughts on this or other things to come.
